3rd ICANN APAC-TWNIC Engagement Forum with 37th TWNIC IP Open Policy Meeting

Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), as a part of the global Internet ecosystem, hopes to establish a policy forum focusing mainly on domain names and IP related issues from the global network architecture. With the same mission and core values for ICANN and TWNIC aiming to establish a policy discussion platform with a structural viewpoint on both regional and Taiwan's Internet environment to further explore the policy, technology and interoperation with stakeholders' perspectives.

ICANN APAC-TWNIC Engagement Forum 2022 is also with 37th TWNIC IP Open Policy Meeting as a parallel meeting with ICANN APAC. The IP OPM will provide great opportunities to the participants for the communication on the network technology research and industry development. It also brings together the opinions of various ISPs in Taiwan to provide relevant IP policies and management mechanisms.

TWNIC organized the 36th TWNIC IP Open Policy Meeting (OPM).

The TWNIC IP OPM was organized to provide an interactive community and discussion platform for various stakeholders in Taiwan's Internet industries to discuss issues related to IP technology. It was hoped that this meeting could facilitate the development of Taiwan's Internet industries, integrate the opinions of Internet service providers from different regions of Taiwan, and in turn come up with relevant IP policies and management systems. The 2020 meeting gathered a variety of SIGs (Special Interest Groups) such as Cyber Security, International Cooperation, Compliance and IPv6 Deployment to explore critical issues.

Toward Web3, Industry Transformation and Innovation Forum

Looking ahead to the Web3 wave, it is advisable to deploy the network infrastructure trends and the future new aspects of Taiwan’s industrial economic development as soon as possible. The Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC) held the “Toward Web3, Industry Transformation and Innovation Forum” topic dialogue, inviting six industry experts to discuss in depth. They proposed forward-looking perspectives and suggestions on the opportunities and practical methods of applying IPv6 to promote industrial transformation and innovation.

2022 Conference of Taiwan Cyber Security Notification and Response

2022 is a critical year for the world to witness how cyberattacks can be weaponized and directly affect the civil sector under geopolitical conflicts. This year, the Ministry of Digital Affairs in Taiwan was unveiled, with the core concept of “digital resilience for everyone”, which aims to build foundations from three aspects: social inclusion, industrial transformation and resilience. 2022 Conference of Taiwan Cyber Security Notification and Response enters its sixth edition. At this critical moment, the conference takes “Cybersecurity Resilience and Sustainable Operation” as its theme, inviting experts from industry, government, academia and research as well as international experts to discuss the best practices of cybersecurity joint defense, pay attention to the development trends of cybersecurity threats and encourage more people to participate in cybersecurity. Together, we can make a better Taiwan.
