[Announcement] Implementation of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for the TWNIC Domain Name Registration System

To comprehensively enhance the information security protection standards of the domain name registration system and effectively safeguard user accounts and data, the Center will officially introduce the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)mechanism.

I. Key System Adjustments

• Operation Method: Upon logging into the RS system (rs.twnic.tw) with your account and password, the system will automatically send a One-Time Password (OTP) to your designated email address. This dual-verification process ensures login security.

II. Actions Required by Registrants

To ensure smooth login and domain management after the new system goes live, all registrants are kindly requested to complete the following reviews and configurations before implementation:

• Verify Primary Email Validity: Please navigate to "Domain Management" > "Registrant Data Modification" > "Change/Query Basic Data" after logging in to verify that your registered email address is correct and ready to receive emails at any time.
  
• Add a Backup Verification Email (Optional): If your company/organization wishes to receive OTPs through an alternative email address, please fill in the relevant information under the "Administrator" tab, located within the "Registrant" tab on the left side of the system, to ensure the subsequent 2FA process runs smoothly.
