TWNIC Digital Citizenship Cultivation Project Seminar

With the development of technology and the changes in the information ecosystem, providing information is no longer the exclusive domain of the media. Coupled with the maturity of AI technology, algorithms prioritize reader preferences over truth, further limiting the visibility of quality news. For modern citizens, media literacy and the cultivation of independent judgment are paramount. When the Ministry of Education promoted the 108 Curriculum Guidelines, it also included 'technology, information, and media literacy' as one of the nine core competencies, aiming for the younger generation to understand how to use media and information tools positively and to possess digital citizenship and media literacy skills.

The Taiwan Network Information Center promotes this important goal through its 'Digital Citizenship Cultivation Program,' holding focus forums on digital citizenship cultivation. These forums approach topics from perspectives such as 'AI talent,' 'network resilience,' and 'internet governance,' aiming to help the public acquire a foundational understanding and preparedness to become modern digital citizens. Key speakers include Cai Zonghan from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Central University, the Director of the Talent Development Center at the National Center for Cyber Security Technology, Associate Professor Zheng Wei from the Department of Library and Information Science at National Taiwan University, and editorial advisor Huang Zhebin from CommonWealth Magazine. You are invited to join in exploring issues of internet governance and literacy.
